Legend has it that two fishermen, one from Barangay Bagong Ilog and the other from Barangay Sumilang, found an image of the Sta. Rosa de Lima together in the waters of the river that separates Bagong Ilog and Sumilang.
The agreement lived on to become one of the most colorful religious events in Pasig, which happens every last Sunday of April.
