Pasig City Resolution No. 159-11, s. 2024 (Adoption of Metro Manila Council Resolution No. 24-19, s. 2024 and Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Resolution No. 3, s. 2024)

On July 24, 2024, the Metro Manila Council (MMC) expressed its full support to the declaration of a State of Calamity in Metro Manila and enjoined everyone to observe the highest degree of care and vigilance during the onslaught of the southwest monsoon or Habagat intensified by Typhoon Carina, through Metro Manila Council Resolution No. 24-19, s. 2024.
Pasig City, through its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC), recommended the declaration of a State of Calamity in the City of Pasig due to the effects of the calamity through PCDRRMC Resolution No. 3, 2024.
In a special session held on July 26, 2024, the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Pasig, through Pasig City Resolution No. 159-11, s. 2024, passed and approved the adoption of PCDRRMC Resolution No. 3, s. 2024, and declared the City of Pasig under a State of Calamity.
This State shall remain until lifted by a subsequent declaration.
The same resolution provides authorization to the City Government of Pasig to use its Quick Response Fund FY 2024 to fund relief and recovery programs with due observance of existing auditing rules and regulations.

The Resolution was passed and approved due to the extreme urgency of situation, as certified by the local chief executive, so that the City Government, through the aid of this legislative measure, can continuously conduct its response efforts to address the effects of the calamity (southwest moonsoon, intensified by Typhoon Carina).
