Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto addressed the following points during the weekly flag-raising ceremony:
00:01-00:46: Acknowledgment of City officials, departments, personnel, especially the host offices from the Institutional Sector, and representatives from national government agencies.
- Mayor Vico highlighted the social relevance of bloodletting activities being conducted in Pasig City. He expressed his gratitude to all blood donors for their selfless, unconditional act of helping extend the lives of others.
- To acknowledge the regular blood donors’ efforts and commitment, he shared that the City Government of Pasig, through its Pasig City Blood Collecting Team under the City Health Department, created a Recognition Program for them.
- Mayor Vico thanked again the blood donors and expressed his hope that they continue to support the program. He then congratulated and expressed his thanks to the Pasig Blood Collecting Team.
01:47-08:52: Mass Regularization Program
- Mayor Vico congratulated the employees who recently gained permanent employment status. He commended their hard work and dedication which made them deserving of the regularization.
- In relation to this, he mentioned that the ongoing Mass Regularization Program of the City Government of Pasig is now covering employees who are at least three (3) years in the service, as it has already completed processing those who are at least five (5) years in the service.
- Mayor Vico shared that the Mass Regularization Program is one of the reforms rolled out in terms of human resource (HR) development in the City Government. This is in recognition of the vital role of human resources in an organization, thus, the City Government puts a premium on its people and the quality of services they provide for the constituents.
- He then explained that aside from Mass Regularization, other HR-related programs are also in place, from Recruitment, Selection, and Placement up to Rewards and Recognition, as a way of putting equal attention on all pillars of human resource development, including the Mass Promotion (from Salary Grade 1 to Salary Grade 3).
- Mayor Vico then said that the Mass Regularization aimed to detach the employees from the influence of politics, hoping this would help them perform their duties at the maximum potential without fearing unemployment when a new administration comes in.
- With this vision, Mayor Vico reminded the employees that their accountability goes to every taxpayer and urged all employees, regardless of employment status to stay diligent, dedicated, and honest in their work.
- He then urged everyone to side with and spread the truth and oppose fake news and misinformation.
- Mayor Vico then shared that he is proud of the City's capability to implement notable reforms in the field of human resources.
- He then encouraged everyone to take part in the mission to elevate the standard of service of the City Government of Pasig to its constituents.
08:53-09:00: He concluded his speech by giving thanks to everyone who attended the flag-raising ceremony.
