Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto addresses the following during the weekly flag-raising ceremony:
00:01-00:33: Acknowledgement of City officials, departments, and personnel who attended the flag-raising ceremony. He then mentioned the celebration of Fire Prevention Month this March and acknowledged the presence of national government agencies, especially of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Pasig, headed by FSupt. Christopher C. Angot.
00:34-00:58: Mayor Vico also acknowledged Berong Bumbero and BFP Fire Dancers. He also mentioned the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), the focal office of the City Government that works with BFP-Pasig for the celebration of Fire Prevention Month.
00:59-01:42: Mayor Vico reminded that the distribution of Pasig City Emergency Go Bags in the community is already done. He then shared that the City Government of Pasig will provide one Emergency Go Bag for each classroom in every DepEd school in the city.
01:43-02:04: He then talked about the program of the Human Resource Development Office and DRRMO for City Hall employees: Each employee will be receiving an Emergency Go Bag. He then hoped that City Hall employees wouldn’t have to use these Emergency Go Bags, given the upcoming transfer to the temporary City Hall soon.
02:05-02:32: Mayor Vico also talked about the status of the temporary City Hall located in Barangay Rosario and mentioned the redevelopment of the Pasig City Hall Campus.
02:33-02:52: Mayor Vico said that this year, there will be a lot of development projects in the City of Pasig and mentioned a few of the current developments such as in the City Health Department, Pasig Youth Development Center, and projects of the Pasig Urban Settlement Office.
02:53-03:21: He then talked about the Design and Build mode of procurement. He said that this kind of procurement process allows for the adoption of innovations in the field of architecture and engineering.
03:22-03:49: Mayor Vico then said that the Design and Build will be the city’s option for large infrastructure projects. He mentioned that the City Engineering Department can develop program of works, but it is way better if we can come up with newer or cutting-edge ideas.
03:53-04:24: Mayor Vico reminded everyone to remember the fire safety and prevention tips shared by BFP-Pasig. He acknowledged that what the BFP-Pasig and DRRMO are doing is a big help in preventing fire-related incidents. He then explained that these tips are helpful for everyone as we tend to become more careful.
04:25-04:28: To end his speech, Mayor Vico greeted everyone with a happy fire prevention month and a good morning.
