Flag Raising Ceremony Highlights | April 15, 2024
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto addressed the following during the weekly flag-raising ceremony:
00:01-00:21: Acknowledgment of City officials, departments, personnel, and representatives from national government agencies who attended the flag-raising ceremony, as well as the host offices from the Social Services Sector.
00:22-01:02: Mayor Vico also acknowledged the presence of the members of Solo Parents and greeted them with a Happy Solo Parents Week. He also greeted the children with their parents from Brgy. Sumilang and Brgy. Bagong Katipunan who were vaccinated against polio. He reminded the parents and guardians to have their children vaccinated. Mayor Vico also highlighted that Pasig is fortunate because the Pasig Health Aides are going house-to-house to vaccinate children against polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
01:03-01:28: He also said that hopefully, parents won’t hesitate to have their children vaccinated. Mayor Vico then mentioned that the Department of Health’s required target coverage of vaccinated children may be high but the City Government of Pasig, through the City Health Department, strives to reach the target coverage even though sometimes, the target coverage is higher than our actual population.
01:29-01:44: Mayor Vico then congratulated the winners from the 8th Bureau of Fire Protection National Olympics.
01:57- 02:14: He then talked about the adjusted working hours of government employees from the different local government units in the National Capital Region. Mayor Vico said the members of the Metro Manila Council agreed that the implementation of the “07:00AM to 04:00PM work schedule” will start on May 2, 2024.
02:15-02:57: Mayor Vico reminded the City Hall employees to start adjusting their schedules. He then said that not all City Hall offices/departments and employees will be following the new work schedule.
03:07-03:56: He explained that frontline offices/departments like the Traffic and Parking Management Office will still follow their shifting schedules. He also reminded that all City Hall offices/departments must have at least one employee who will work from 08:00AM to 05:00PM to continue assisting and providing services to people visiting the City Hall.
