PASIG CITY INAUGURATES NEW KAGINHAWAHAN BRIDGE

 

The 14th Bridgebuilt for Pasiguenos and the 7th built by the City Government ofPasig through local funds to interconnect its communities surrounded by variouswaterways including Pasig-Marikina River, Napindan River and Manggahan Floodwayopens today in simple inaugural ceremonies.

This 685.04 meter orroughly .7 kilometer long bridge is aptly named “Kaginhawahan Bridge” as it isexpected to provide relief and ease traffic congestion of commuters andresidents travelling from the Poblacion through Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue inBarangay Caniogan traversing Marikina River to C5 Circumferential Road inBarangay Ugong. This bridge is designed to entice more business opportunitiesand cement Pasig City’s claim as one of the country’s top fast growing localeconomies.

Mayor Bobby Eusebio humblycredits the contribution of the visionary and benevolent leadership of formerMayor Maribel Andaya-Eusebio, his immediate predecessor who collaborated with ateam of innovative experts in 2015. Providing workable solutions to risingissues created by urban development.
